Being Thankful

By Sistah Rfuaw Diarra

Being Thankful,
As we wake up everyday we should reach for the sun, touch the sky and give thanks for another day of breathe, good health and a joy for life. It is a gift from the heavens that we open our eyes, and breath the air. It is a gift from nature that we are able to continue on our journey in life. Being thankful is shown by giving back to life what you have received in life. Life is one big circle and it just keeps going around no matter what we do. But in order to reap the benefits of nature, good health and mental wellness we must do good in order for good to come to us.

Things you can do to give back:
a). Tutor A Child
b). Feed the Homeless
c). Donate your use goods (clothes, shoes, etc.)to a shelter
d). Help the Elderly
e). Volunteer at your childs or granchildren's school
f). Give, Give, Give for it is very rewarding.

There was an old saying my grandmother use to tell us back in the day and it goes like this, "It is better to give than to receive without looking for anything in return".
Then she would go on to say, your blessing will come in sevenfolds.

So remember to give thanks every morning in sickness or good health, remember when you give something to not worry about what the person will do with it. Give from the heart and the soul will follow.

The End!

CONTRIBUTOR'S REPLY

Thanks for reading, I'm glad you enjoy it.

Thank you for sharing and reminding us that there are those around us that need our help. Sometimes,it's a ride to the Doctor, the Hairdresser, the grocery store or just stop by to make sure everything is OK.
Keep up the fine work.
